The workers at Highland Car Wash break new ground for the campaign as it is the first (but not to be the last) union carwash in Northeast Los Angeles. We’re adding it to our map! Workers and owners have an agreement that provides for pay above the minimum wage, health and safety protections, and a voice on the job. Members of the Highland Park community showed their support for the thriving business by organizing a caravan down Figueroa Street on July 24 to celebrate the new partnership between owners, workers and the United Steelworkers. If you live or work on the Eastside, make this a stop for your next carwash!
